Sarah Palin has broken the ice on everything Sarah Palin and how to cash in on her image, according to the report here and here.
Considering this I shall go forward and refrain as much as possible from using anything other than my own photographs although every photo that has been put on my site was borrowed from other bloggers or created from some type of photography program with photo’s that appeared to be free of a copyright to the best of my knowledge. Unlike the business owner that was sued nothing on this website is currently for profit. Not even ads are found on my website to date. I do however reserve the right to change that in the future if my circumstances change but for now I’m just a wanna be blogger that has gone rogue, wink wink.
I am not a journalist and barely a blogger and all opinions are my own. In fact, I do not know anyone that would pay $30,000 for a photo of anyone, let alone Sarah Palin. Professional photographers must go the extra step to make sure that their photo’s are protected from someone’s reproduction for profit which I understand with my mother being a professional photographer herself. I would suggest a copyright watermark that crosses and centers a photograph to prevent Internet users from making copies of one of their images in error.
My mother has never once sued anyone for copyright infringement and is a remarkable woman in her own right. My mother worked two jobs to keep a roof over my head and the 3rd photography business for I know 20 years while I was in school. My mother actually goes out of her way to help people struggling with money that want pictures made. I can’t tell you how many memorials that my mother printed photo’s she’d taken of someone and out of the kindness of her heart prepared a collage and presented them to the family members of a deceased former client in their remembrance.
My mother is a Christian conservative woman, who Sarah Palin also happens to rub the wrong way. I am very proud of my mother for raising me with morals and integrity and teaching me respect and discipline. If I had no other accomplishment in this life other than making my mother proud, that would be enough for me.
